Nel 1821, Don Diego de la Vega diventa sindaco della città di Los Angeles, che vorrebbe veder prosperare. Diretto da Alan Parker su sceneggiatura dello stesso Waters, Pink Floyd The Wall non ebbe una genesi facile, e del resto accostare due personalità forti come Parker e Waters non poteva non far nascere qualche contrasto.
