Texas Chainsaw 3D della Lionsgate continua la storia leggendaria della famiglia omicida dei Sawyer, ripartendo da dove il classico horror del 1974 di Tobe Hooper aveva lasciato a Newt, in Texas, dove per decenni la gente è scomparsa senza lasciare traccia. La gente del paese ha sospettato a lungo che la famiglia Sawyer, proprietaria di un locale di barbecue, fosse in qualche modo responsabile. I loro sospetti sono stati infine confermati in un afoso giorno d’estate quando una giovane donna riuscì a sfuggire da casa Sawyer dopo il brutale assassinio dei suoi quattro amici.
