La Hanzo Academy è una prestigiosa scuola di preparazione con un segreto noto solo a pochi eletti. Dietro le sue mura c'è un corso di addestramento per shinobi; spie addestrate e assassini che secoli fa avevano servito gli shogun per i loro bisogni politici e militari. Oggi la tradizione continua con cinque giovani tirocinanti con personalità diverse: la spensierata Asuka, la feroce ma perversa Katsuragi, la dolce e innocente Hibari, la stoica e protettiva Yagyuu e il loro maturo rappresentante di classe, Ikaruga. Senran Kagura racconta la storia di queste cinque ragazze e del loro viaggio segreto per completare il loro addestramento shinobi. Il viaggio diventa rapidamente più complicato di quanto si aspettino quando un gruppo più oscuro e sinistro di shinobi si rivela. Asuka, Ikaruga, Katsuragi, Yagyu and Hibari are five school girls who secretly train in the ninja arts. As they are sent by their mentor, Kiriya, to handle some delinquents in town, Asuka meets a girl named Homura and helps guide her through town, unaware that she is secretly an enemy shinobi. Meanwhile, the others encounter the delinquents, who are soon revealed to be wooden puppets controlled by an enemy shinobi. A woman named Daidouji, a "legendary senior" who has been repeating class at Hanzou Academy of her own accord despite passing the finals, convinces Kiriya to send his girls on "HIKING" training...But this wasn't your typical hike! This was a 2-day trek full of obstacles for each of the students to overcome and make it to the top of a mountain to find the scroll. Asuka learned an important lesson after fighting a giant cat, which seemed to be Daidouji in disguise, in that she worried too much about living up to the fact that she's the granddaughter of a legendary shinobi. And in another nice turn of events, Hibari saved Yagyuu from piranhas. The 5 of them made it to the top at the same time, only to find Daidouji waiting at the top. In order to take the scroll, Daidouji said that they need to defeat her. None of them could do it, but Daidouji concluded that Asuka deserved it the most because of an attack that almost took her by surprise. Feeling she needs to do something, Hibari decides to go to Serpent Academy so she can retrieve the scroll, leaving a note behind for the others. When Yagyuu learns of this, Asuka stops her before she does some rash, assuring her that she is not to blame. Meanwhile, Hibari arrives at Serpent Academy, where she is enrolled as a student and learns how Homura and the others came to join the dark faction. She is also introduced to their teacher, Suzune, which rings a sense of nostalgia to her. As the Hanzou Academy girls try to determine the location of Serpent Academy, Yagyuu mentions to Kiriya about how Asuka was able to dodge her attack. Later that night, Suzune appears before Kiriya and challenges him to a duel, revealing her identity to be Rin, his former student who was presumed dead. Meanwhile, Rin explains to Kiriya how she initially planned to have her students beat his in order to prove herself the better ninja. However the dark faction's leader, Dougen, issued a new plan behind her back to try and combine the scrolls. Whilst Ikaruga and Katsuragi push past Yomi and Hikage, Yagyuu catches up to Hibari and manage to get past Haruka and Mirai. As Asuka reaches the top of the tower and once again clashes with Homura, Dougen makes his appearance, stating he plans to wield the power of the scrolls by using them as vessels. Asuka and Homura are forced inside a shinobi barrier where they must face against Dougen's secret ninja art, Orochi, whilst the other shinobi team up to fight against a legion of mechanical guards. Homura prepares to sacrifice herself to stop Dougen, but Asuka holds her back, asking her to have faith in her friends. Sure enough, Hibari manages to combine her power with the others to break through the barrier, using their spirits to power Asuka and Homura up, allowing them to retrieve the scrolls and defeat Dougen. Pushed into a corner, Dougen sets the castle to self-destruct, so the Serpent girls stay behind to help the other students evacuate whilst Rin sacrifices herself to take Dougen with her. Some time later, Asuka gets promoted before everyone sets off on summer vacation, confident that they will one day meet the Serpent girls once more, as no bodies were ever found amongst the castle's wreckage. 12: Super-Secret Ninja Art

Ichiro Suzuki è un programmatore ventinovenne di giochi a cui è stato assegnato il compito di correggere diversi bug in due MMORPG che la sua azienda sta preparando per la pubblicazione, diventando estremamente stanco mentre lavora anche durante il fine settimana. Dopo aver fatto un pisolino, si risveglia misteriosamente in un mondo parallelo, che ricorda alcuni dei mondi fantasy RPG su cui aveva lavorato, come un quindicenne di nome Satō Pendragon, un soprannome che usava durante i beta test, e con quella che sembra essere la schermata del menu del gioco a cui stava lavorando. Tuttavia, prima che riesca a capire la sua situazione attuale, un esercito di Lizardmen gli tende un'imboscata, e nella disperazione usa tutte e tre le sue speciali opzioni di attacco "Pioggia di meteore" (una soluzione rapida che aveva aggiunto al gioco per i nuovi giocatori che uccide tutti i nemici nelle vicinanze) e li cancella tutti; oltre a loro elimina inavvertitamente anche una divinità (viene in seguito rivelato che si tratta del Dio Drago Akon Kagura). Di conseguenza, il suo livello passa da 1 a 310, massimizzando immensamente le sue statistiche. Non avendo modo di tornare nel suo mondo, Satō si propone di scoprire i segreti di questo nuovo come un avventuriero di alto livello armato di una miriade di diverse abilità e armi fisiche, cognitive e magiche, iniziando a guadagnarsi la fiducia e l'affetto di molte persone e cercando di nascondere le sue potenti statistiche.

Dopo che Nami si ammala, la ciurma giunge sull'isola di Drum in cerca di un dottore e si reca in cerca di Kureha, l'unica rimasta sull'isola. Giunge però sull'isola anche Blik Wapol, il sovrano dell'isola che era fuggito dopo l'arrivo della Ciurma di Barbanera. Questi cerca insieme al fratello maggiore Musshūru di sconfiggere Rufy, che vuole impedire loro di riprendere il controllo dell'isola. Anche la renna TonyTony Chopper, l'assistente di Kureha, che in passato era stato allievo del dottor Hillk, ucciso da Wapol, partecipa al duro scontro ed infine Rufy grazie ai Gear sconfigge i due. La ciurma riparte dunque dall'isola di Drum dopo aver convinto Chopper ad unirsi a loro come medico di bordo.

Dopo averne trovato la mappa, Rufy e la sua ciurma decidono di visitare l'isola di Omatsuri, dove tutti gli abitanti hanno una strana piantina sulla testa. Il capo di quest'isola è il barone Omatsuri, che li sfida ad affrontare dure prove in cambio dell'accesso a luoghi per rilassarsi e questi accettano. In realtà il barone molti anni prima era il capitano di una ciurma pirata ma un giorno tutti i suoi compagni erano stati uccisi; ha iniziato così ad odiare tutti i pirati fra i quali c'era un forte legame e, cercando di separarli, li attira sulla sua isola e li fa tutti mangiare a parte il capitano dal Giglio Garofano, una grossa e mostruosa pianta situata sulla sommità di un monte. Grazie all'energia assorbita dalla pianta, il barone riesce a mantenere in vita i suoi compagni uccisi tempo fa. Dopo aver affrontato e vinto le prime due prove, il rapporto di amicizia fra i protagonisti inizia ad affievolirsi e iniziano quindi a scomparire.

La storia di questo film si svolge sull'isola di Aska dove è custodita la leggendaria spada delle sette stelle sulla quale, però, incombe una terribile maledizione. Il film inizia in una misteriosa locanda in cui la ciurma di Cappello di Paglia, a corto di soldi, nota lo strano comportamento del barista che fa entrare alcuni clienti grazie ad una sorta di parola d'ordine. Riescono ad entrare anche loro e si ritrovano con migliaia di pirati che stanno organizzando una gara segreta il cui obiettivo è raggiungere per primi la misteriosa isola Partia, segnata sull'Eternal Pose consegnato dall'allibratore ai concorrenti. La ciurma decide di partecipare nonostante la presenza nella gara del favorito, il temuto generale Gaspardi, un ex affiliato della Marina, ora pirata con una taglia da 95 milioni di berry. Durante una rissa Gaspardi nota l'abilità di Rufy e di un misterioso cacciatore di taglie di nome Shraiya, così, offre loro di entrare nella sua ciurma, ma solo Shraiya accetta.

La ciurma di Cappello di Paglia giunge presso l'Isola della Corona. Il nome è dovuto alle eruzioni di un vulcano sottomarino che formano attorno all'isola delle colonne di fumo che la cingono come una corona. Il luogo è abitato da numerosi animali strani e da un ragazzino, Mobambi, sempre accompagnato dal pennuto Corbi. Sull'isola si trovano anche il Conte Butler ed i suoi sottoposti, il Generale Hotdog ed il Presidente Heaby: questi vogliono trovare il tesoro del re e sono convinti che si nasconda nelle corna di qualche animale. Per questo motivo il Conte Butler addomestica con il suo violino i Mangiacorna (animali locali) nell'intento di impossessarsi del grande potere.
