Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale alla USS Indianapolis e al suo equipaggio guidato dal capitano Charles McVay viene affidata una missione top secret. Ma durante la traversata l’incrociatore viene affondato da un siluro giapponese. Vista la segretezza della missione la nave non viene soccorsa e dopo 5 giorni nelle acque infestate da squali, dei 1197 membri dell’equipaggio solo 317 vengono ritrovati ancora in vita. Per nascondere le proprie colpe il Governo degli Stati Uniti, qualche mese dopo, chiama McVay a giudizio davanti la Corte Marziale.

Gru ha abbandonato il passato per trascorrere una vita serena con le figlie Margo, Edith e Agnes e con la moglie Lucy, che a sua volta sta cercando di diventare una buona madre per le bambine. Sia Gru che Lucy lavorano ora per l'AVL, agenzia che cattura i supercattivi, ma l'ambiziosa Valerie Da Vinci licenzia entrambi quando non riescono a fermare il progetto criminale di Balthazar Bratt, ex star bambino protagonista di un telefilm in cui commetteva ogni sorta di nefandezze, che ora confonde realtà e finzione continuando a comportarsi come se vivesse negli anni '80. C'è però il rapporto fra Gru e il suo gemello Dru, che il nostro eroe non sapeva nemmeno di avere, e che è identico a lui eccetto che per la fluente capigliatura bionda e l'inettitudine al crimine, accompagnata però da un'irresistibile inclinazione ad entrare comunque in azione. Riuscirà Dru a far riscoprire al gemello redento il brivido dell'avventura, o sarà Gru a portare il fratello sulla retta via?

Il dottor Paradigm ruba le ricerche effettuate dal dottor Bolton, con l'intento di sperimentarle. Colto in flagrante da Bolton, Paradigm arriverà a trasformare lo scienziato in un mostro. Successivamente cattura i quattro figli del dottor Bolton, John, Bobby, Coop e Clint, per un esperimento: inietta loro il DNA di alcuni squali e in seguito questi si trasformano in quattro squali dalle fattezze umane e dalla grande forza fisica. Da allora i quattro uomini-squalo decidono di formare un team chiamato "Street Sharks" intento a combattere il crudele dottor Paradigm per impedire i suoi piani di conquista e recuperare le loro sembianze umane. La serie è incentrata sui loschi piani del dottor Paradigm e sul costante tentativo di catturare i fratelli così da costringerli ad obbedire al suo volere, nonché a prendere il controllo dell'intera città. Gli Street Sharks intervengono di volta in volta, risolvendo anche le situazioni più pericolose grazie, ironia della sorte, alle capacità che lo stesso dottor Paradigm ora trasformato in dottor Piranha gli ha dato.

Il motivo di questo suo repentino cambiamento sta nel fatto che Turnbull, grazie all'aiuto di un Pirata del Tempo, ha scoperto una miniera ricca di un minerale molto piu' prezioso dell'oro, un minerale proveniente forse da altri mondi, resistente e indistruttibile: la stella nana. L'estrazione di questo minerale dal sottosuolo lo ha reso potente in tutta la regione, al punto che sta progettando di creare uno Stato tutto suo indipendente dal governo federale. Per riparare l'Aberrazione gli uomini sotto il comando di Sara Lance si servono dell'aiuto di Jonah Hex che ha piu' di un conto in sospeso da regolare. 6: Stato fuorilegge

Nel frattempo, Stein scopre come la squadra potrebbe sconfiggere i Dominatori, ma e' distratto dalla Aberrazione Temporale che lui stesso ha creato nel 1987, cioe' sua figlia. Le Leggende rilevano una possibile aberrazione a Chicago nel 1927. Qui infatti Damien Darhk e Thawne chiedono aiuto ad Al Capone per tendere un'imboscata alle Leggende. Inoltre queste dovranno slvare la vita a Ness, che sara' colui che riuscira' ad incastrare Capone. Le Leggende si salveranno, ma Thawne rubera' loro l'amuleto che, in realta', e' parte di qualcosa di piu' importante. 8: Gli intoccabili
