Il bosco fitto e selvaggio è l'ostacolo meno arduo. I pericoli cominciano quando il gruppo vi trova di fronte gli acquitrini di un'infida palude in prossimità del territorio dei Cajuns, i discendenti dei rifugiati canadesi del 1700. Preparati, secondo quanto descritto sulle carte militari, all'attraversamento di una palude, i nove hanno la malaugurata idea di servirsi di alcune canne trovate luogo un fiume. Sanno che appartengono alla gente del luogo ma se ne appropriano ugualmente. Quando sono ormai in movimento, sulla riva si affacciano i proprietari e uno dei nove, per spaventarli, spara loro contro una raffica di colpi a salve. La risposta è immediata: un proiettile di grosso calibro colpisce il sergente, uccidendolo all'istante. -

Trama La storia narra le disavventure di un gruppo di liceali che vivono nella città di Tomobiki dove frequentano l'omonimo Liceo. Un bel giorno un’astronave carica di Oni arriva dallo spazio per conquistare la Terra offrendo agli umani un’unica possibilità di salvezza: se un essere umano, scelto a caso da un computer, riuscirà a toccare le corna di Lamù (la bellissima figlia del re degli Oni, che indossa soltanto un bikini tigrato) entro dieci giorni il pianeta sarà salvo. La scelta cade su Ataru Moroboshi, un liceale sguaiato e donnaiolo che risulta molto interessato all'offerta di dover “toccare” la bella Lamù. Durante il duello però Lamù lascia tutti a bocca spiccando letteralmente il volo, il che manda a monte qualsiasi tentativo di Ataru di toccarle le corna. Ulisse 31 è un anime televisivo co-prodotto nel 1981 dalla francese DiC Entertainment e dalla giapponese TMS Entertainment. La storia ricalca liberamente l'Odissea scritta da Omero, ambientandola nel XXXI secolo Trama Alla fine del suo compito sul pianeta Troia, Ulisse decide di rientrare sul pianeta Terra, ma durante il viaggio di ritorno la sua astronave viene attaccata dal robot Polifemo. Per salvare l'astronave Odissea e il suo equipaggio, Ulisse riesce a distruggere Polifemo, scatenando così l'ira dei suoi costruttori, antichi alieni chiamati DEI. Gli DEI cancellano dalla memoria di Shirka, il computer di bordo, le mappe per raggiungere il pianeta Terra, costringendo così Ulisse a iniziare un vagabondaggio nello spazio nel tentativo di raggiungere la Terra. Trama Il piccolo Carletto, principe di un Paese abitato dai mostri noto come Mostrilandia, decide di venire ad abitare sulla Terra, a Tokyo, insieme ai suoi aiutanti, Conte Dracula, Frank e Uomo Lupo, per poter avere un po' di tranquillità. Carletto diventa presto amico di Hiroshi, un bambino intraprendente che vive con sua sorella Sis in un piccolo appartamento vicino alla vecchia casa dove i mostri si sono stabiliti. Nel corso della serie, Carletto non solo incontra dei mostri un po' buoni o un po' cattivi, e fa amicizia con gli uomini, ma deve anche aiutare Hiroshi e rendere più felice la sorella del proprio amico. Lo psichiatra Robert Miles è in grado di comunicare coi morti e di controllare la mente del suo gatto nero, particolarmente aggressivo nei suoi confronti: ciononostante utilizza l'animale per compiere le sue vendette e uccidere chiunque sia contro di lui. La fotografa Jill, che lavora in coppia con due poliziotti di Scotland Yard, scopre che accanto ai cadaveri, al momento della morte, c'è sempre un gatto nero: si reca quindi a casa dello psichiatra, dove ha conferma dei propri sospetti sul coinvolgimento del dott. Miles nei misteriosi omicidi del gatto.
