Avalon topped the UK album charts for three consecutive weeks and sold a million copies in America. The SDE blu-ray includes 2025 Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and Stereo mixes of Quadrophenia mixed by Richard Whittaker, whose association with the band goes back decades. Additionally, the disc includes instrumental mixes in Atmos, 5.1 and Stereo, the unique Quadrophenia 5.1 EP (which contains unique mixes/segues was previously only available in the out-of-print Director's Cut box set of 2011) and the 2013 stereo remaster.
