Adewalé, nato schiavo, ha trovato la libertà come pirata a bordo della nave di Edward Kenway, la Jackdaw. 15 anni dopo Adewalé è diventato un Assassino addestrato, ma fa naufragio a Santo Domingo, dove si ritrova senza né armi né ciurma.
