[spoiler+=Descrizione]Prototype 2 è il seguito dell'action game "mutante" di Radical e Activision.Il gioco è ambientato nella New York Zero, la Grande Mela devastata dall'infezione che ha trasformato gli esseri umani in mortali mutanti. Sono passati 14 mesi dagli eventi vissuti nel primo titolo, da Alex Mercer e dalla sua potenza distruttiva. La città è ora divisa in tre zone: la verde, militarizzata e sotto controllo, la arancione, che ospita gli accampamenti dei profughi e dei sopravvissuti, e la rossa, quella infetta e brulicante di terribili mutanti. Alex Mercer è scomparso e nessuno lo ha più visto, ma, con un colpo di scena degno di Hollywood, in Prototype 2 non è più l'eroe bensì il mostro, il cattivo da eliminare, il boss finale. Stavolta il protagonista in nostro controllo è il Sergente James Heller. Un vero duro, un soldato, un uomo arrabbiato, a cui l'infezione ha portato via tutto e che ora ha un solo scopo nella vita: eliminare i mutanti.[/spoiler+]
