Trama:
Los Angeles: i poliziotti Riggs e Murtaugh si recano nel parcheggio di un edificio, dove è stata segnalata una bomba. Martin decide di voler intervenire senza aspettare gli artificieri; sbaglia a tagliare il filo e fa saltare in aria il palazzo e per questo vengono entrambi degradati da sergente a poliziotto semplice e mandati a dirigere il traffico.
