L'isola del tesoro è un anime prodotto nel 1978 in 26 episodi da Tokyo Movie Shinsha e tratto dal romanzo storico per ragazzi L'isola del tesoro di Robert Louis Stevenson. La serie è stata trasmessa in Giappone per la prima volta dal network NTV a partire da ottobre 1978 e in Italia da Rete 1 nel 1982.

Trama
Jim Hawkins è un bambino che si è imbarcato in un viaggio alla ricerca di un tesoro appartenente al Capitano Flint, un pirata molto temuto quand'era in vita. Lungo la strada verso l'isola del tesoro incontrerà il suo migliore amico John Silver, che si rivelerà essere un pirata, nonchè il braccio destro del Capitano Flint. Jim dovrà affrontare dei sentimenti contrastanti a causa della sua indecisione che gli renderà difficile decidere se considerare John come un amico o come un nemico.
