Il gioco presenta un sistema a finali multipli che consente ai giocatori di scegliere quale fazione sostenere (come la "fazione anti-shogunato", la "fazione pro-shogunato" o le "potenze occidentali") influendo in modo determinante sugli esiti della storia. Il gioco supporta diverse funzionalità per PC fra cui la compatibilità con monitor ultrawide e include potenziamenti come la risoluzione 8K, i 120 fps, l'audio 3D e impostazioni di personalizzazione di mouse e tastiera che arricchiscono ulteriormente l'esperienza di gioco. Storia Giappone, 1863. Dopo tre secoli di dominio dello shogunato Tokugawa le navi nere dell'Occidente calano sulle coste giapponesi gettando il paese in uno stato di violenti tumulti. Nel caos provocato da guerra, malattie e instabilità politica un guerriero senza nome forgia il proprio cammino determinando il destino del Giappone. Il tuo destino di ronin, guerriero senza nome, si dipanerà a seconda delle innumerevoli scelte che prenderai di volta in volta. Incontrerai figure storiche e schieramenti caratterizzati da ideologie diverse come la fazione anti-shogunato guidata da “Ryoma Sakamoto” o organizzazioni fedeli allo shogunato come la "Shinsengumi", capeggiata da Isami Kondo vivendo in prima persona l'atmosfera tumultuosa del periodo Bakumatsu. Dovrai affrontare decisioni importanti fra cui l'eventualità di assassinare o proteggere figure storiche chiave come "Naosuke Ii" e costruire la tua storia attraverso un sistema a finali multipli. Personalizza le tue “armi” e i tuoi “stili di combattimento ” a tuo piacimento e scendi in combattimento. Avrai a disposizione un vasto arsenale di armi fra cui la "katana" la "lancia" e l'"odachi" e potrai adottare per ognuna di esse molteplici "stili di combattimento". Combinandole a tuo piacimento sulla base del tipo di armi utilizzate dai nemici e del tuo personale stile di combattimento avrai a disposizione un’ampia gamma di tattiche da applicare. Potrai inoltre ricorrere a svariate armi a lunga gittata come "armi da fuoco" e "archi" da utilizzare con intelligenza strategica a seconda della situazione contingente. Esplora le meravigliose città di "Edo”, “Yokohama” e “Kyoto” sapientemente riprodotte in un mondo aperto. Nel variegato panorama culturale che caratterizza "Edo”, “Yokohama” e “Kyoto” durante il periodo Bakumatsu potrai assistere al suggestivo cambiamento delle stagioni: dalla fioritura dei ciliegi all'ingiallimento delle foglie autunnali. Potrai utilizzare un "rampino" per arrampicarti sui tetti e librarti in aria con l'aliante "Avicula". Avrai anche la possibilità di immortalare le tue vedute preferite grazie alla "Modalità foto". Personalizza il tuo personaggio conferendogli un aspetto del tutto esclusivo Tratti somatici, capigliatura, trucco, fisico, voce: la creazione del protagonista, la tua Lama velata, è tutta nelle tue mani.
