[spoiler+=Descrizione]Il personaggio al centro della storia questa volta é Heather, una ragazza bella, ma timida. Ma c'é qualcosa che differenzia questo terzo episodio da quelli precedenti: l'arrivo a Silent Hill di Heather non é giustificato - dunque ci troviamo spaesati e confusi. L'ambiente cambia senza una chiara motivazione, e il giocatore si trova invischiato in questa vicenda di sorpresa e privo di una qualsiasi spiegazione.

Nei primi timidi passi di Heather e nelle sue iniziali corse affannose il giocatore si troverà a fronteggiare i primi terribili esseri concepiti dagli sviluppatori. Un campionario di bestie, assolutamente inedito, e quanto di più disgustoso e terrorizzante si sia potuto vedere sugli schermi. [/spoiler+]
