Trama:
Il film The Smashing Machine segna l’incontro tra due mondi cinematografici apparentemente distanti: da un lato Benny Safdie, noto per l’estetica nervosa e iperrealista di Good Time e Uncut Gems; dall’altro Dwayne Johnson, icona globale del cinema d’azione. Insieme danno vita a un ritratto intenso e disilluso di Mark Kerr, figura di riferimento nelle origini delle arti marziali miste (MMA) e della UFC, qui interpretato da Johnson in un ruolo lontano dai suoi registri abituali.
