Introduzione:

L'anime è tratto dal manga seinen Übel Blatt (ユーベルブラット, Yūberu Buratto, lett. "Lama malvagia") creato da Etorouji Shiono ed è stato pubblicato dal dicembre 2004 sulla rivista Gangan YG, per poi spostarsi successivamente su Young Gangan dal 2004 al 2009 e su Monthly Big Gangan dal 2011 al marzo 2019; tutte le riviste sono edite da Square Enix. In Italia è stato distribuito dalla casa editrice Edizioni BD sotto l'etichetta J-Pop.
Dal 2024 è in corso di pubblicazione in Giappone il sequel del manga dal titolo Übel Blatt II: Shiseru ō no kishidan sempre ad opera di Etorouji Shiono e pubblicato su Monthly Big Gangan. Attualmente è stato giunto al secondo volume.

Trama:
Quattordici guerrieri erano pronti a evitare un’invasione ma rimangono in sette: tre muoiono in azione, quattro vengono uccisi per aver tradito l’impero. In realtà, sono stati proprio i Sette Eroi a tradire i compagni per avere la gloria tutta per sé. Ascheriit è stato una loro vittima, ma ora, vent’anni dopo, è tornato per vendicarsi...
