Vivien (Bella Thorne) e Roy (Benjamin Mascolo) sono due adolescenti dalle personalità apparentemente opposte. Vivien è una studentessa talentuosa con la passione per la fisica e il desiderio di entrare in una prestigiosa università americana. Vive la sua vita come una formula matematica che la spinge a rimandare al futuro la propria felicità. Roy invece è un ragazzo problematico, tormentato da un trauma vissuto da bambino, che sembra rincorrerlo inesorabilmente e mandare continuamente in fumo tutti i suoi sogni. Ma anche le scienze esatte hanno le loro variabili e, come sempre accade, la vita riesce a intrecciare i suoi eventi in modi sorprendenti e inaspettati.

Nell'agosto del 1955, il quattordicenne afroamericano Emmett Till lascia Chicago per fare visita al resto della famiglia nel Mississippi. Qui, dopo aver incautamente parlato con una ragazza bianca, viene prelevato in piena notte da un gruppo di persone sia bianche sia nere e barbaramente linciato. Giorni dopo la sparizione, il suo cadavere viene ritrovato nelle acque di un fiume: il film segue la storia della battaglia legale della madre del ragazzo, Mamie Till, che pretenderà di essere fotografata accanto al volto orribilmente deformato del figlio e di comparire sulla copertina di una rivista per sensibilizzare la popolazione di fronte alla violenza razziale nel sud. Gli assassini bianchi di Emmett saranno assolti, ma la battaglia di Mamie sarà alla base dell'affermazione del movimento per i diritti civili negli Stati Uniti.

Tiger Mask W (L'Uomo Tigre W) è ambientato alla fine del 2016, quarantacinque anni dopo la conclusione di L'Uomo Tigre racconta le vicissitudini di Naoto Azuma e Takuma Fujii, due ventunenni amici pro-wrestler della Japan Pro Wrestling, una sigla indipendente. Un giorno però la compagnia viene assorbita dalla GWM, una grande federazione, e da quel momento in poi le loro vite prendono strade diverse.
