Nebraska racconta la storia di Woody, un anziano del Montana che scappa ripetutamente di casa nel tentativo di raggiungere il Nebraska, dove è convinto di dover ricevere un ricco premio della lotteria. Preoccupati dal suo stato mentale, i familiari dibattono a lungo sul metterlo o meno in una casa di cura, fino a quando il figlio David decide di accompagnare il padre in questo folle viaggio. Lungo il tragitto i due si fermano un paio di giorni nel piccolo villaggio natale di Woody dove, sotto gli occhi del figlio, ripercorre il suo passato dando vita a una commedia intensa e commovente.

Gantz (ガンツ Gantsu?) è un manga scritto e disegnato da Hiroya Oku. Il primo capitolo è stato pubblicato a luglio 2000 in Giappone sulla rivista di Shūeisha Weekly Young Jump, mentre l'ultimo è uscito a maggio 2013. I 383 capitoli che compongono la storia sono in seguito stati raccolti in 37 volumi tankōbon, pubblicati tra l'11 dicembre 2000 e il 19 agosto 2013. In Italia l'opera è pubblicata da Planet Manga. La storia è ambientata in una realistica Tokyo dei giorni nostri e tratta le vicende di un gruppo di persone intrappolate in una sorta di gioco violento e mortale, le cui condizioni sono generate da una misteriosa sfera nera, nota come Gantz. Nel 2004 ne è stata tratta una serie televisiva anime di 26 episodi divisi in due stagioni: Gantz: The First Stage e Gantz: The Second Stage. In Italia i diritti della serie animata sono stati acquistati dalla Yamato Video e dal 21 dicembre 2009 la serie è stata trasmessa in prima visione sul canale Dahlia Eros e poi dal canale Man-ga.

Louisa Clarke è stata licenziata dopo anni di lavoro dal padrone del locale in cui era cameriera. A casa sua gli altri componenti della famiglia non se la passano meglio e il suo contributo era essenziale. Accetta così un'offerta di lavoro da parte di una ricca famiglia: deve fare compagnia a Will, il figlio trentenne divenuto quadriplegico dopo che era stato investito da una moto. Costui vorrebbe rimanere a crogiolarsi nel suo dolore e la presenza della ragazza, tanto goffa quanto sensibile e piena di buona volontà, lo infastidisce. Non sarà sempre così anche se il giovane ha in serbo per lei una sorpresa.

Le trame degli episodi molto spesso non seguono un senso logico, ma sono sempre dotate di una forte vena umoristico-demenziale, l'inserimento, con il passare delle stagioni, di nuovi personaggi, ha ulteriormente scavato in questo punto, riuscendo nell'intento di far guadagnare alla serie una popolarità smisurata.

Quando è scoppiata una sorta di apocalisse zombie, per via di un virus detto Maze che ha trasformato le persone in folli e veloci cannibali, la situazione è stata tenuta sotto controllo in varie Nazioni, ma non Irlanda. Qui l'emergenza è finita solo quando è stata trovata una cura dalla Dottoressa Lyons, però non tutti gli infetti vengono guariti e il 25% tra loro si è rivelato resistente alla terapia ed è stato dunque imprigionato. Tra questi c'è anche una persona cara alla dottoressa, che continua a lavorare per una cura più efficace. Le persone guarite hanno poi un serissimo problema: ricordano tutto quello che hanno fatto mentre erano impazzite e il loro reintegro nella società incontra forte opposizione. La giornalista e vedova, Abbie accetta di accogliere in casa sua Senan, appartenente alla terza e ultima ondata di persone curate e che era amico di suo marito. L'ex "capo-branco" del ragazzo però continua a interferire nella vita di Abbie e Senan.
