Nella città labirintica di Luwen, un luogo dove i labirinti pullulano di mostri, si radunano moltissimi avventurieri. Dopo aver perso la vita e essersi reincarnato, il protagonista si risveglia all'interno di uno di questi labirinti. Ma il suo aspetto è quello... di un gattino?! Tuttavia, la verità è un'altra: è in realtà una forma giovane del "Behemoth", un mostro di grado S di livello catastrofico! Incontra Aria, una giovane avventuriera di grado D alle prime armi. Aria, scambiandolo per un gattino lo trova gravemente ferito, lo porta a casa per curarlo e lo chiama "Tama" facendolo diventare il suo animale domestico. Colpito dalla gentilezza di Aria, Tama giura di diventare il suo cavaliere e di proteggerla a tutti i costi. Utilizzando i suoi poteri da mostro, Tama inizia a esplorare i labirinti insieme ad Aria.
