Il 6 ottobre 2020 il Presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella ha conferito a Willy Monteiro Duarte la medaglia d’oro al valore civile alla memoria, in virtù del gesto altruistico che gli costò la vita

Un giorno però viene cacciato, in quanto non ritenuto abbastanza capace dagli altri membri. Egli ha effettivamente delle abilità fisiche e magiche nella norma, per nulla straordinarie. Ma il suo punto di forza è saper apprendere velocemente abilità che chiunque altro riuscirebbe ad acquisire solo dopo anni di fatiche. Dopo essere stato espulso, decide di ripartire all'avventura e tornare ad essere uno spadaccino. Le competenze, l'esperienza e gli svariati incantesimi acquisiti durante la sua permanenza all'interno del party dell'eroe risulteranno utili per la sua nuova vita.
