Roman è avvocato a Los Angeles e lavora in uno studio che si occupa di clienti, appartenenti a classi sociali bisognose, spesso impossibilitati ad avere una difesa degna di questo nome. Roman, anche per il carattere che ha che lo spinge a non trattenersi dinanzi a palesi ingiustizie, è stato sempre tenuto dal suo collega William Jackson nelle retrovie a preparare la documentazione dei casi. Quando però William viene ricoverato in ospedale senza speranza di recupero tocca a Roman presentarsi in tribunale e già la prima causa gli crea dei problemi. Le cose si complicano quando lo studio viene chiuso e chi si deve occupare dell'operazione comprende le sue doti e ne vuole acquisire le competenze mettendole però a servizio del puro e semplice guadagno. Roman cerca di barcamenarsi fino a quando un giorno si fa tentare da un'azione illegale.

Sono passati tre anni da quando il parco tematico di Jurassic World è stato distrutto dai dinosauri scappati dalle gabbie di contenimento; Isla Nublar adesso è un luogo selvaggio abbandonato dagli umani dove i dinosauri sopravvissuti cercano riparo nella giungla. Al risveglio del vulcano, inattivo fino a quel momento, Owen (Chris Pratt) e Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) intraprendono una campagna per salvaguardare le specie di dinosauri ancora in vita da un evento di distruzione di massa. Owen è intento a cercare Blue, il suo principale velociraptor ancora disperso nella foresta, mentre Claire nel frattempo ha sviluppato un rispetto nei confronti di queste creature, divenute ormai la sua missione. Giunti sull’isola proprio mentre la lava inizia a scorrere i due scoprono anche una cospirazione di portata globale che potrebbe far ritornare l’intero pianeta a un rovinoso stato di disordine come non si vedeva dalla preistoria.

Rick Deckard è un ex poliziotto del L.A.P.D. (Los Angeles Police Department) richiamato forzatamente in servizio quando un gruppo di sofisticati androidi Nexus 6 fugge dalle colonie Extra-Mondo e torna clandestinamente sulla Terra. Quello che essi cercano è il loro costruttore, "colpevole" di averli dotati di un aspetto umano e capacità fisiche superiori, ma di una vita molto breve. La caccia di Deckard sarà violenta e serrata, resa più complessa dalla presenza di Rachael, un particolarissimo tipo sperimentale di replicante, femminile quanto e forse più di una donna autentica. Non senza fatica e sofferenza, i Nexus 6 saranno " ritirati" uno dopo l'altro fino allo scontro finale tra il poliziotto e l'elemento alfa del gruppo, l'angelico demone Roy Batty.

Nel 1991 Haruo Yaguchi è un bambino del sesto anno delle elementari che non è bello, non è popolare e non ha particolari abilità nello studio e nello sport, se non per un'enorme passione e bravura per i videogiochi, in particolare per i picchiaduro arcade. Un giorno Haruo viene sfidato e sconfitto a Street Fighter II nella sua sala giochi da Akira Oono, sua compagna di classe popolare, bella, intelligente e ricca, che lo sconfigge anche ad altri videogiochi e per più volte. Tra i due inizia una rapporto di rivalità e amicizia.
