Jirou Yakuin, studente liceale del terzo anno, spera di vivere insieme alla sua compagna di classe Shiori Sakurazaka nell'ambito del corso obbligatorio "Pratica di coppia". In questo corso, gli studenti devono dimostrare di possedere il bagaglio di capacità necessario per vivere con un partner del sesso opposto presentando un certo grado di armonia al cospetto della videosorveglianza che li valuta. Sfortunatamente, il caso accoppia la sua scialba personalità da allievo sottomesso con quella di una studentessa popolare che è il suo opposto: Akari Watanabe. Dal canto suo, anche Akari auspicava di fare coppia con lo studente di cui si è presa una cotta, Minami Tenjin. Le loro speranze vengono ulteriormente deluse quando vengono a sapere che Shiori and Minami sono stati accoppiati insieme.
